Founded in 2023, RealHyFC is a co-op specializing in Hydrogen.
RealHyFC is a collaborative European research project bringing together key actors across the entire PEMFC (proton exchange membrane fuel cell) value chain. The consortium addresses critical technical challenges limiting widespread adoption of fuel cell technology in heavy-duty applications, particularly land transport, with potential benefits for ships, trains, and aircraft. The project develops advanced state-of-health and state-of-charge diagnostics, degradation models, virtual sensor algorithms, and stress modeling frameworks to improve reliability, durability, and operational efficiency of fuel cell stacks. Budget: approximately €8.5 million.
