RENOVATE is a collaborative research project aimed at achieving sustainable recycling solutions for battery waste through innovative technologies like High Voltage Fragmentation. The project pursues a chemistry-neutral approach to recover cathode active materials and other critical components from end-of-life batteries. The overarching goal is to recycle and reuse 100% of battery components and industrial side streams, thereby reducing virgin material consumption, supplier dependency, and waste generation across the European battery value chain.
