Founded in 2023, Repowerproject is a ngo headquartered in Denmark specializing in Solar, Biomass, Energy Storage.

The RePower project is a four-year initiative funded by the European Commission that aims to transform rural electrification in Africa through innovative plug-and-play microgrid technology. Operating across Madagascar, Niger, Senegal, and Ghana (replication site), the project deploys modular renewable energy systems combining solar generation with battery storage and biomass-based combined heat and power systems. Beyond electricity provision, RePower supports productive uses including clean water access, agricultural cooling, and internet connectivity. The initiative involves 12 partner organizations from 15 countries and focuses on creating sustainable local economies by supporting small businesses and industries while building capacity through training hubs for energy technicians.
