Founded in 2020, Rola-Flex is a renewable energy company specializing in Solar, Energy Storage.
RoLA-FLEX is an industry-driven Horizon 2020 research project (grant agreement n862474) focused on advancing Organic and Large Area Electronics (OLAE). The project addresses scientific and engineering challenges in organic semiconductors and alternative energy sources by focusing on materials development, process innovation, and prototype applications. Key achievements include demonstrating laser-induced forward transfer of silver nanoparticle inks for ITO-free organic photovoltaics and developing digital laser printing and sintering techniques for additive manufacturing on flexible substrates. The project officially concluded in October 2023 after advancing the technological readiness level of OLAE technologies with applications in consumer electronics and renewable energy.
