SCALE is a collaborative project funded by the European Union's Horizon Europe Programme with a budget of approximately 10 million EUR. The initiative brings together 29 cutting-edge European e-mobility actors, including Distribution System Operators, aggregators, public authorities, and e-mobility service providers. The project is coordinated by ElaadNL, a leading knowledge and innovation centre for smart charging infrastructure. SCALE aims to advance smart charging infrastructure and facilitate mass deployment of electric vehicles through development of V2G/V2X technologies, testing across 13 use cases in four innovation clusters, and establishing industry reference architectures. Key objectives include overcoming barriers to V2G mass deployment, developing integrated G2X-V2X cross-sector planning frameworks, and enabling local authorities to implement smart mobility solutions within climate action plans.
