Founded in 2011, Smart Grid Services is a co-op headquartered in Norway with approximately 10-50 employees specializing in Solar, Wind, Energy Storage.

Smart Grid Services is a non-profit cluster organization established in 2011 as Arena Smart Grid Services and continued as Smart Grid Services Cluster in 2015. It operates as a meeting place and facilitator for companies, research institutions, public administration, and education sector participants working in smart grid and renewable energy technologies. The organization assists members with project development, financing strategies, collaboration partnerships, research participation, and access to public funding mechanisms including SkatteFUNN, Innovasjon Norge, and ENOVA. Key focus areas include intelligent electricity distribution systems, renewable energy integration, demand flexibility, and grid modernization. The cluster is a partner in FME CINELDI research center and maintains collaborative relationships with Smartgridsenteret, NTNU, and SINTEF.
