Founded in 2020, Smart4RES is a ngo headquartered in Sophia Antipolis, France specializing in Solar, Wind, Energy Storage.

Smart4RES is a European research and innovation project that focuses on substantially improving the entire model and value chain in renewable energy prediction. The project proposes next-generation RES forecasting models with the goal of achieving at least 15% improvement in RES forecasting performance. The consortium brings together 12 organisations from 6 European countries, including leading research institutions, utilities, and technology providers. Key research areas include collaborative forecasting, data markets, business modelling, trading strategies for RES and storage, wind and solar power predictions, grid integration, and prescriptive analytics for renewable energy optimization in power systems and electricity markets.
