Founded in 2019, SolarNL is a ngo headquartered in Amsterdam, Netherlands specializing in Solar.

SolarNL is a thriving ecosystem that elevates the Dutch solar PV industry through a collaborative network of leading researchers, technology developers, startups, and established companies. The program integrates academic research through SolarLab (comprising 50 research groups supervising 150 PhD students across six main hubs: AMOLF, RUG, TNO, TUD, TUE, and UT) with industrial expertise to drive innovation in photovoltaic technologies. Funded by the National Growth Fund with a total program budget of 898.3 million euros (586.8 million private financing, 312.0 million subsidy, and 181 million in parallel public investments), SolarNL focuses on three innovative PV technologies including perovskite solar cells, chalcogenide perovskites, and colored/building-integrated photovoltaics. The program aims to expand the Netherlands' solar capacity from 18 GWp to 100-250 GWp by 2050, creating jobs and economic value while reducing CO2 emissions by over 100 megatons annually. SolarNL supports startups and scale-ups through partnerships with Invest-NL and regional development agencies, positioning the Netherlands as a leader in sustainable solar energy manufacturing and strategic energy independence.
