Do panels work on cloudy or rainy days?
Yes. Solar panels still produce electricity on cloudy or rainy days. Output is lower (roughly 10 to 50% of a sunny day), but your system keeps working.
What is net metering and does Solviva offer it?
Net metering lets you send excess energy back to the grid in exchange for bill credits from Meralco. Solviva does not currently offer net metering services, but all our systems are designed to be net-metering compatible. We recommend battery storage as a more reliable way to maximize your savings right now.
What is the Solviva Rent-to-Own (RTO) program?
The Solviva Rent-to-Own program lets you install a solar system with zero down payment and fixed monthly payments for up to 5 years. When you finish the term, you own the system outright. No bank loans, no collateral, no complicated applications.
How do you size my system?
During your free site assessment, we review your average monthly electricity usage, your heavy-load appliances, and your available roof space. We then use specialized software to recommend the right number of panels for your home.
How is RTO different from a bank loan or cash purchase?
RTO requires no large upfront payment. You start saving on electricity from day one while paying off the system in fixed monthly installments. Unlike a bank loan, there is no collateral required and approval is faster.
What documents are needed to apply for RTO?
You only need two things to get started: one valid government ID and a copy of your latest electricity bill (front and back pages). That's it for initial requirements.
What happens if there's a repair or performance issue? What are the SLAs?
