About
Founded in 2021, Sun4All is a renewable energy company headquartered in Multiple specializing in Solar.
Sun4All is a European research and innovation project funded by the EU Horizon 2020 programme (grant agreement no. 101032239) that tackles energy poverty and facilitates vulnerable consumers' participation in a fair energy transition. The project implements a financial support scheme adapted from New York's successful Solar for All programme, enabling vulnerable households in four pilot cities (Barcelona, Rome, Almada, and Community of Communes Cœur de Savoie) to become co-owners of local photovoltaic installations at no cost. Through virtual energy sharing, participants receive reduced electricity bills and complementary support including energy management advice and workshops on energy rights and efficiency. The project aims to be sustainable and replicable across Europe through a Community of Practice involving nine additional cities and utilities. Sun4All operates as a collaborative consortium of research institutions, local governments, energy agencies, and non-profit organizations, coordinated by Ecoserveis, with technical support from ICLEI Europe and Sapienza University of Rome's CITERA research centre.
