TowerPower is a Europe-wide collaborative research project that has created an innovative Continuous Structural Monitoring system for wind turbine towers. The system integrates non-destructive testing (NDT) techniques with advanced electronic communication to provide real-time structural analysis. This technology aims to significantly reduce the incidence of repairs and replacements, as well as associated downtime. The consortium comprises eleven research and technology development partners working to develop solutions that address the structural monitoring needs of small and medium enterprises in the renewable energy sector.
