Triogen specializes in Organic Rankine Cycle (ORC) technology, converting thermal energy from industrial waste heat into electrical power. Founded in 2001 by Professor Van Buijtenen, the company develops standardized ORC systems for diverse applications including diesel engines, landfill sites, biomass furnaces, and gas engines. Key milestones include the 2006 experimental installation in Groningen, 2008 pilot run of 5 units leading to the WB-01 standard, and 2016 launch of the e-box containerized ORC.
