With over 900 members, UrStrom produces renewable electricity through 33 PV installations generating electricity for approximately 471 four-person households annually, avoiding about 1,310 tonnes of CO2 emissions per year. The cooperative also supplies green electricity and biogas to private and commercial customers nationwide through its partnership with Bürgerwerke eG. UrStrom is a founding member of the citizen energy cooperatives network in Rhineland-Palatinate and operates as a democratic, decentralized energy provider.
