UtsiraVIND is a joint venture consortium formed by Source Galileo Norge, Odfjell Oceanwind, Kansai Electric Power, and Ingka Group. The project is developing floating offshore wind farms at Utsira Nord, located 25 kilometres off the coast of Rogaland, Norway, in waters up to 280 metres deep. The consortium applied for seabed leases to build three project areas, each with 460-500 MW minimum installed capacity and potential 250 MW extensions. Each area is projected to generate approximately 2 TWh of electricity annually, equivalent to powering 120,000 households and avoiding 1.2 million tonnes of CO2 emissions per year.
