Founded in 2023, Value4farm is a ngo specializing in Solar, Biogas.

Value4farm is a research and innovation project funded by the European Union's Horizon Europe program. The initiative addresses the carbon footprint of the agricultural sector by promoting decentralized renewable energy production and use, encouraging rural development. The project demonstrates three renewable-based local value chains coupling photovoltaic and biogas technologies with sustainable food production. It aims to increase on-farm renewable energy production while preserving food production, soil health, biodiversity, and reducing water and fertilizer usage. The project addresses key challenges including technology costs for small-scale farms and the energy crop versus food production dilemma.
