Originally founded in 2015 as Lendlease Energy Development, the company was rebranded as Vesper Energy in 2020 following acquisition by Magnetar Capital. GCM Grosvenor became an equity owner in 2023. The company has delivered over 700 MW of renewable energy projects into commercial operation and maintains a pipeline of over 49 renewable energy and storage projects with a generating capacity of 11,000 MW. The team comprises professionals with collective experience in delivering more than 10 GW of renewable energy projects globally. Vesper Energy's flagship project, Hornet Solar, is one of the largest single-phase solar projects in the United States, with 1.36 million panels installed.
