Vidhyut Utpadan Company Limited (VUCL) is a Nepali public-private partnership company established by the Government of Nepal to develop, build, own and operate large-scale hydropower projects. Its mission is to generate economically viable electricity from Nepal's hydro resources, support energy security, and develop storage, peaking run-of-river and run-of-river hydropower projects, including export potential. The company was formally established on 20 November 2016 and registered under the Companies Act 2006 with the Office of the Company Registrar, Ministry of Industry.
