Stichting WadDuurzaam is a Dutch foundation established in 2015 to facilitate sustainability and innovation initiatives through its flagship vessel, the Ecolution. The Ecolution is an innovative sailing yacht equipped with renewable energy technologies and modern sail techniques designed to operate without harming the environment. The foundation works with a network of enterprises, educational institutions, and government bodies to promote awareness of environmental vulnerability and develop sustainable solutions. The vessel serves as a platform for lectures, seminars, sailing expeditions, and workshops, with a focus on youth engagement and green shipping innovation. WadDuurzaam also leads Green Shipping Waddenzee, an initiative accelerating CO2-neutral and fossil-free shipping innovations for the Wadden fleet.
