Windpark A15-Lingewaard is a renewable energy development project focused on onshore wind energy. The project comprises three modern, high-efficiency wind turbines positioned along the A15 motorway corridor and Betuweroute in Lingewaard, Netherlands. The turbines will have hub heights between 115-150 meters and rotor diameters between 150-185 meters, with maximum tip heights of 225 meters. The project is expected to generate over 58 GWh of electricity annually, sufficient to provide green power to the entire municipality of Lingewaard. Construction is anticipated to begin around 2028. The project includes comprehensive community participation mechanisms, including opportunities for local residents to invest through subordinated bonds at expected returns of 4.5% (5.5% for nearby residents), direct financial compensation to households within 1000 meters based on proximity, and establishment of sustainability and nature support funds. The developer has prioritized environmental compliance, conducting detailed assessments for flora and fauna with no identified negative impacts, and implementing strict noise standards (Lden 45, Lnight 39) and shadow flicker mitigation measures with automatic sensor systems. The project is being developed by Windpark A15-Lingewaard BV, led by Ruben Berendts and Brendan Williams of Blue Bear Energy.
