Windpark Caprice is a renewable energy project located on the grounds of Steenfabriek Huissenswaard along the Pannerdenschkanaal in Lingewaard municipality. The project consists of two wind turbines with hub heights of 130-170 meters and tip heights of 195-240 meters. The initiative aims to contribute to the Dutch energy transition and climate neutrality goals set for 2050. The project is designed with strong community engagement, environmental safeguards for flora and fauna, and a 50% profit-sharing model where earnings are distributed to nearby residents, community funds, and environmental initiatives. Expected to produce 30-45 GWh annually. Construction planned for 2025-2027, with commercial operation beginning 2027-2028 for a 20-25 year lifespan.
