Founded in 2024, ZEAS Project is a renewable energy company headquartered in Rijeka, Croatia specializing in Hydrogen.

The ZEAS project, running from January 2024 to December 2027, is developing a hydrogen fuel cell-powered passenger ship designed specifically for the Adriatic Sea. The project encompasses full-scale operational demonstration of hydrogen propulsion systems, including onshore hydrogen refueling infrastructure and advanced digital twin technology for monitoring and automation. Key components include hydrogen fuel cell powertrain design, a modular hydrogen refueling station capable of serving maritime, automotive, and truck applications, and digital systems for predictive maintenance and ship automation. The consortium includes partners from Austria, Greece, Croatia, Norway, Germany, Slovenia, and Spain, with a total project budget of €18.9 million, of which €13.5 million is co-financed by the European Union's Horizon Europe Innovation Actions programme.
