Founded in 1946, Amul is a dairy industry manufacturer based in Anand, India selling farm equipment & herd tech, testing & quality.

Amul is the trading name of Kaira District Co-operative Milk Producers Union Ltd, a farmer-owned dairy cooperative headquartered in Anand, Gujarat. Registered in December 1946, it is known for the Anand Pattern of village-level dairy cooperatives. Beyond milk processing, it supplies its member milk producers with cattle feed manufactured at its Anand feed plant, including calf starter, milk replacer, mineral mixtures and medicated feed. Its Animal Husbandry division runs a 24x7 centralised veterinary call centre, doorstep veterinary services, mobile vans and animal disease diagnostic laboratories. Its research arm, Amul Research & Development Association (ARDA), produces liquid and frozen semen for artificial insemination and provides cattle breeding, animal health and farmer training programmes. The cooperative also runs training and development programmes for village dairy cooperative societies and milk producers.
