About
K.I. Kampen is a dairy industry service provider based in Dalfsen, Netherlands.
K.I. Kampen is a Dutch genetics association for dairy cattle, established around 40 years ago by farmers. It runs an artificial insemination breeding programme supplying bulls to dairy farms in the Netherlands. Its breeding goal is long-lasting, sturdy cows with high lifetime production and protein, and strong functional traits such as udder health, fertility and hoof health. Young bulls are selected from cow families proven on longevity and feet and udder scores, with a minimum average milk protein content of 3.50%, and genomic testing has been added to the selection criteria. The breeding programme covers Holstein, Red Holstein, Black & White, Red & White and other dairy breeds.
