OVISLab is a private veterinary laboratory in Spain, described as the oldest private animal health laboratory in the country. It offers diagnostic and monitoring services for animal production, mainly for pig and ruminant farms, and is authorised in areas including animal health, water, feed, and milk and dairy products. For dairy cattle, it offers herd monitoring through bulk milk tank testing (milQ program), replacing individual blood sampling and serology. Its services include pathogen-specific diagnostics, syndrome-based diagnostic protocols, antimicrobial susceptibility testing, antimicrobial resistance monitoring with an online results database, molecular and biochemical techniques, and field sampling. The laboratory works under a One Health approach and is reported to be in the process of ISO/IEC 17025:2017 accreditation for one technique per main service line. It was founded in 1976 as a laboratory of pathology and animal production and later became OVISLab S.L., a family-run SME.
