It was established with donations and is part of the Turkish Armed Forces Foundation group, which holds 98.52% of its shares. The company began producing radio batteries in 1985 and Ni-Cd aviation and helicopter batteries in 1993. It later moved into lithium-ion production, starting mass production of INR18650A28 cells in 2022.
