Founded in 1953, Chowgule SBD is a defense prime contractor based in Loutolim, Goa, India working in naval systems, mro & logistics.

Chowgule SBD is the shipbuilding division of Chowgule, operating shipyards in Goa and Mangalore. The company builds multipurpose vessels, bulk carriers, tugs, dredgers and specialised ships for domestic and international clients, primarily in Europe, and has delivered over 175 vessels. It also undertakes ship repairs, offshore platform design, construction and maintenance, and defence projects, partnering with the Indian Navy, Indian Coast Guard and DPSUs in support of the Aatmanirbhar Bharat initiative. Its offshore patrol vessel hull work for the Indian Coast Guard forms part of its defence business.
