Defenture is an innovation-driven company headquartered in Tiel, the Netherlands, founded in 2013. It specialises in the design, development, production and maintenance of light tactical mobility solutions for military and specialised units. Its GRF, Mammoth and Scorpion platforms are built with a modular design principle and can be configured for reconnaissance, troop transport, medevac, mortar carriage and logistics roles. Defenture also acts as a system integrator, fitting sub-systems such as battle management systems, optical solutions, communications equipment, remote controlled weapon stations and indirect fire systems onto its platforms. Its services cover integrated logistics support, spare parts logistics, maintenance workshops, operator and maintenance training, and on-site support throughout the product lifecycle. The company operates its own test and training terrain, Experience Island, a 50-hectare off-road facility. Defenture states that its platforms can also serve disaster relief and law enforcement roles, not only defence. It holds ISO 9001:2015 and AQAP 2110 certification.
