Machinefabriek Geurtsen is a family-owned machine builder in Deventer, Netherlands, founded in 1926 as a fireplace forge and construction workshop. It designs and builds custom machines, production lines, modules and turnkey systems, mainly for the food, chemical, pharmaceutical, packaging and prefab construction industries, and also provides service and maintenance. The company is part of the Geurtsen Groep, which includes Geurtsen Defence, a unit that develops and produces complex, custom solutions for defence applications, and SPS Group, which makes conical mixers and dryers. For defence work, Geurtsen develops and manufactures complex technical components, complete machines, test setups and tooling for OEMs and suppliers in the defence industry, with engineering and assembly kept in-house in a secured environment. The company reports more than 150 employees, including over 40 engineers, and holds ISO 9001 and ISO 3834 certification. It is a member of NIDV, the Dutch defence and security industry association.
