DMD GROUP, a.s. is a Slovak defence holding company based in Dubnica nad Váhom. It was founded as DMD Holding, a.s. in Trenčín in 1995 by the Slovak Ministry of Economy to restructure the domestic arms industry, and was renamed DMD GROUP, a.s. in 2004. The group's subsidiaries research, develop and produce weapon systems, including barrels and guns from 30 to 155 mm, and offer full ammunition life cycle services to armed forces of several states. The group coordinates marketing, sales, controlling and new production programmes for its members. Since 2015 the Ministry of Defence of the Slovak Republic has been its sole shareholder. The company also manages roads and public lighting in the former ZTS industrial area and leases real estate there.
