It is made up of JUNGHANS Microtec GmbH in Dunningen-Seedorf, Germany, and JUNGHANS T2M SAS in La Ferté-Saint-Aubin, France. The company develops, designs and manufactures fuzes and safety and arming devices for ammunition, including artillery, mortar, infantry grenade, direct fire, bomb, rocket, missile and torpedo fuzes, using mechanical, electromechanical and fully electronic technologies. Its products are designed to meet STANAG 4187 and AOP, STANAG and MIL-STD qualifications, and it supplies large international armed forces and ammunition manufacturers. The company traces its origins to a watchmaking business founded in Schramberg in 1861; Diehl took over JUNGHANS in the 1950s and sold the watch business in 2000 to focus on defence. The joint venture was established in 2007/2008 and the brand was introduced in 2015. The company runs its own test centre and an energy management system certified to DIN EN ISO 50001.
