acciónenred is a Spanish non-governmental organisation, organised as a federation with local branches across several Autonomous Communities of Spain. It works across several areas, including the integration of migrants, gender equality and opposition to sexist violence, respect for diverse sexual and gender identities, environmental protection, international solidarity and cooperation, the rights of marginalised people, human rights and social rights, and cultural and idea-dissemination initiatives. Its best-known initiative is the Por los Buenos Tratos programme, launched in 2005 around 8 March and since developed into a permanent line of action. The programme aims to eradicate sexism and violence through collective and citizen involvement, promoting positive values such as equality, personal autonomy, non-violent conflict resolution, responsibility and respect. Its work includes training for social agents, teachers and students in the socio-educational field, promotion of youth volunteering, study of proposals directed at public administrations, information and advice in cases of violence, mobilisation and awareness campaigns, and social research and evaluation. The organisation is headquartered in Madrid and also has an office in Sevilla.
