Agen.Ter is a non-profit association formed in 2012 from the merger of two Bologna-based associations focused on environmental protection and sustainable development. It manages several museums in the Bologna plain area of Emilia-Romagna, including the Museo Archeologico Ambientale, the Museo del Cielo e della Terra, the Macchina a Vapore Museo Franco Risi, the Museo e Parco archeologico di Sant'Agata Bolognese, and provides educational activities for the Museo della Pace Guido Mattioli and the Museo dei Burattini Leo Preti. Its work covers education in science, technology, engineering, mathematics, history and archaeology, the protection of heritage and the environment, biodiversity, sustainable resource management and sustainable cultural tourism. It serves schools of all levels, adults, families, public bodies and private entities, and collaborates with local and regional partners to engage the community.
