AIRDD Someș Dej is a non-governmental association based in Dej, Cluj county, Romania. It works on sustainable regional development in Transylvania and the North-West region, with a focus on employment and improving living conditions for disadvantaged or vulnerable people. Its activities include vocational training, career guidance and counselling, job placement support, entrepreneurship training and start-up support for rural residents, many of whom work in subsistence agriculture. It also runs a sheltered printing unit that employs people with disabilities and operates a craft training centre (ARTIZANUL). Projects are largely financed through European Union funds, including the European Social Fund under the POSDRU programme. The organisation advises other organisations, promotes lifelong learning and has been part of the North-West Regional Pact for Employment and Social Inclusion since its founding in 2006.
