Alianza por la Agricultura (Alliance for Agriculture, A4A) is a Puerto Rico-based non-profit organisation working to transform how agriculture is practised across the island. It promotes local food systems, participatory governance, accessible technology for small-scale farmers and food markets, and sustainable farming. Its work includes acting as fiscal sponsor for the Aguadilla Farmers Market, developing market management technology tools, and running education and community initiatives through Camposofía and La Botica de la Tierra. The Alliance also supports farmers, processors and community organisations, and advocates for the agroecological sector with government. It was born from conversations with farmers during post-Hurricane María recovery work in 2017.
