Amazon Investor Coalition

Founded in 2020, Amazon Investor Coalition is a non-profit network based in Belém, Brazil working on environment & climate, nature & wildlife conservation.

The Amazon Investor Coalition is a global learning-and-collaboration platform launched in September 2020 at the United Nations 75 Global Governance Forum. It operates as a nonprofit, fiscally sponsored by the Giving Back Fund and working with NEXUS. The coalition brings together philanthropies, private investors, corporate buyers, governments, nonprofits and local Amazonian producers. Its aim is to reduce deforestation, advance forest-positive economies, and strengthen the rule of law across the Amazon region. It works by mobilising patient and blended capital for the bioeconomy, matching investors with sustainable impact opportunities, connecting buyers with sustainable producers, and running grants, research, and learning resources. Its stated focus is making standing forests more economically competitive than cleared land while centring community wellbeing.
