About
Founded in 2010, Amici di Mariele is a social enterprise based in San Pietro in Casale, Italy working on education, disability, children & youth +1 more.
Amici di Mariele is a social cooperative (onlus) based in San Pietro in Casale, in the Bologna metropolitan area, Italy. It manages the Scuola primaria paritaria Mariele Ventre, a private primary school recognised within the Italian national education system, which offers the school's teaching alongside after-school and extracurricular services. The cooperative originated from a parents' association founded on 29 April 2010 and took over management of the school from 1 September 2013. The school is named after Mariele Ventre, founder of the Piccolo Coro dell'Antoniano, and is housed in Casa Dovesi, a property made available by the local parish. Its main focus is inclusive education: the Progetto INclusione offers children with disabilities a school pathway with specially trained staff and works to educate all pupils towards acceptance of disability. The cooperative also runs a research and development project on a multimodal affective teaching method (MAM) for children with special educational needs, and takes part in the national Agenda Nord and Piano Nazionale Estate programmes. It is affiliated with Confcooperative, through its regional branch Unione Terre d'Emilia. Support is sought through donations, the 5 x mille tax allocation, corporate adoption of the inclusion project and shopping partnerships.
