AMPLOS is a Portuguese association of mothers, fathers and relatives of LGBTQIA people, founded by parents to combat discrimination based on sexual orientation and gender identity. It offers support and counselling to families, including group sessions and psychological support at reduced cost for members, and runs training and awareness programmes for schools, community workers and the public. It works across mainland Portugal and the islands, with a head office in Lisbon and a Porto centre, and is a founding member of the European Network of Parents of LGBTI Persons.
