About
Founded in 2010, ARPID is a non-profit association based in Timișoara, Romania working on health.
ARPID is a Romanian non-governmental patient association founded in 2010 by four people, including physicians, to voice the concerns of patients with primary immunodeficiencies (PIDs). It is formed of adults with PIDs and parents of children with PIDs. Its main aims are to support patients and their families in improving quality of life, to build solidarity and communication networks between patients across Romania, and to bring them together with immunologist doctors. It also advocates for patients' interests with state authorities, provides information on PIDs, promotes early diagnosis, and offers psychological support and assistance. It is based in Timișoara and joined IPOPI, the International Patient Organisation for Primary Immunodeficiencies, in 2011 and the Romanian National Alliance for Rare Diseases in 2013.
