ARS.UNI.VCO E.T.S. is a non-profit association based in Domodossola, in the Verbano Cusio Ossola (VCO) area of Piedmont, Italy. It was founded in 2000 to promote culture, higher and postgraduate education, research and project development, with a focus on economic, social, tourism, environmental, mountain and health sciences. Its work covers local, regional, national and European levels. Since 2010 it has focused on the development of mountain areas, including mountain agriculture, the mountain economy, renewable energy and support for professional training. It runs the International Alpine School of Mathematics and Physics (Domoschool), the Leggere le Montagne youth competition, summer schools, language courses and a European Documentation Centre. It also hosts an Alpine Convention Info-Point and takes part in European and Interreg projects. It is registered in the Italian Single Register of Third Sector Entities (RUNTS) and is an ETS under Legislative Decree 117/2017. The association is open to individuals and organisations that share its aims, and it has a volunteer register.
