Asociația Eu, tu și ei Focșani is an independent non-governmental association based in Focșani, Romania. It runs community, civic and socio-cultural projects mainly for children and young people from disadvantaged backgrounds. Its flagship programme, c@rte în sate, promotes reading and literacy in rural villages of Vrancea county, where children have little access to libraries and cultural activities. Volunteer 'storytellers' travel to villages with books, read aloud to children, run recreational workshops and mini-libraries, and organise reading camps and trips to towns. The association also runs a mobile library of over a thousand children's titles, a community book box, and youth civic programmes. Its work is funded mainly by donations, sponsorships and corporate partnerships, and it relies on a volunteer team of more than 60 people.
