Asociația Spune Da Vieții is a Romanian association that works for children diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder and their families. Through its Centrul Autism Step by Step, it runs day centres and services in Bucharest (sectors 2, 4 and 6), Pucioasa (Dâmbovița county) and Giurgiu. Services include ABA therapy, art therapy, sensory therapy, speech therapy, family psychotherapy, cognitive behavioural therapy, parent support groups, socialisation groups, vocational counselling and educational support. The association also develops programmes in care, policy, advocacy and public education about autism, aiming to support children and adolescents to reach their full potential and live independent lives. Services are delivered by psychologists, psychotherapists, speech therapists, social workers and special education teachers. The centre is authorised by the Romanian Ministry of Labour and Social Protection and the Authority for Persons with Disabilities. Donations are accepted online, including to help families who cannot afford therapy costs.
