Asociația Zâmbește pentru Viitor is a non-profit association based in Brașov, Romania, founded in 2015 by former residents of child protection centres. It supports young people leaving the state child protection system at around 18, helping them gain independent living skills, education, vocational training, employment, housing and emotional and psychosocial support. Its work also includes educational and awareness programmes for young people in care, cultural and talent events, and participation in discussions on legislation affecting youth leaving care. The association has reported supporting several hundred young people and says its work is directed at the Brașov community and beyond. It previously ran the DYNAMIS community social service, whose operating authorisation was withdrawn. The association states it no longer provides social services at present and continues its activity with an adapted approach, with a new project for the Brașov community planned.
