ASSIST Asia (Asia Society for Social Improvement and Sustainable Transformation) is a Pan-Asian non-profit organisation founded in 2003 as a three-person NGO in the Philippines. It helps private sector businesses, including micro, small and medium enterprises, adopt sustainable consumption and production and green economy practices, reducing natural resource use while improving competitiveness. Its work covers sectors such as metal finishing, retail, hospitality, tourism, automotive, food processing, garments and footwear. It works with national agencies on green economy policies, including air quality, procurement and resource efficiency, and supports social enterprises in Asia. It also offers technical assistance and capacity building to donors and implementers, and runs vocational education and youth involvement initiatives. The organisation operates across South and Southeast Asia from offices in Makati (Philippines, headquarters), Ho Chi Minh City (Vietnam), Phnom Penh (Cambodia) and Chennai (India). Its social enterprise, AsianNGO, publishes the iMPACT platform and magazine.
