Founded in Sicily, it develops projects in rural communities of the Sédhiou region in southern Senegal, covering access to safe drinking water, education, health care and cultural infrastructure. Its activities include building wells, water treatment and solar water systems, schools, medical centres and community spaces, alongside training and awareness programmes. The organisation states it is funded only by private donations, fundraising campaigns and solidarity events, without government or political funding, and that every donated euro goes to projects. Its work is guided by a code of ethics, emphasising community participation, self-determination and sustainability.
