Bayan Family of Foundations

Founded in 1993, Bayan Family of Foundations is a non-profit network based in Quezon City, Philippines working on community development, employment & skills.

Bayan Family of Foundations is a Philippine ecosystem of four member foundations (Bayan Academy, Bayan Innovation Group, Bayan EDGE and Bayan SEARCH) that supports social entrepreneurs, social enterprises and community development. Its work includes training, advisory and capacity-building services, impact financing and microfinance-related services, and research, with the aim of building a more inclusive, sustainable and entrepreneurial Philippines and a more socially progressive ASEAN region. It organises the Philippine Social Enterprise Roadmap Conference and a social enterprise marketplace, and works with partners across government, academia, business and the social and solidarity economy. The organisation traces its origins to a 1993 micro-lending programme that evolved into a microentrepreneurship focus.
