Ben Amics is the LGTBI association of the Balearic Islands, registered as a non-profit association in 1994. It works to end legal and social discrimination against LGTBI people and to promote equality and respect for affective-sexual and gender diversity across the Balearic Islands. Its work covers public awareness, workshops and training in schools, institutions and professional settings, social support services for LGTBI people and their families, youth services, and research. It also campaigns against LGTBIphobia and promotes health and the fight against discrimination against people living with HIV. Activities include the Pride month, film cycles, information stands and events for young LGTBI people. The association is run by volunteers and members and relies on donations and membership fees.
