Caribe Afirmativo is a Colombian organisation that works for the rights of lesbian, bisexual, trans and LGBTIQ people, with a focus on violence prevention, access to justice and the inclusion of diverse indigenous and Afro-descendant communities. Based in Barranquilla, it runs the Enterezas project in the Caribbean and Pacific regions of Colombia. Its work includes research and reports on violence against LGBT people, training for public officials and community leaders, and a peace-education programme. It also campaigns for the recognition of the rights of women LBT and the effective response of state institutions.
