Caritas Diocesana Salerno Campagna Acerno is the diocesan pastoral body of the Catholic Archdiocese of Salerno, active in Salerno and the surrounding area. Its work includes listening centres (centri di ascolto) in parishes and zones, food distribution, clothing collection, a soup kitchen, a night shelter, legal and medical assistance, support for families of prisoners, school support for young people, and an anti-violence centre for women. The Fondazione Caritas Salerno is its operating arm, carrying out social solidarity, welfare, training and missionary activities, and is registered as an Ente del Terzo Settore (ETS).
