The Centro de Estudos Regionais (CER) is a cultural association founded in 1978 in Viana do Castelo, Portugal. It studies, researches, defends and promotes the historical, artistic, anthropological, cultural, socio-economic, scientific and landscape values of the Alto Minho region. Its activities include colloquia, conferences, awareness campaigns on heritage and environmental issues, professional training courses, and inventories of sacred art. It publishes the journal Estudos Regionais and books, and runs the Academia Sénior for people over 55. It has held public utility status since 1985 and is based in Viana do Castelo.
