Climanosco is a Swiss non-profit association based in Zurich, founded in 2015 by climate scientists. It makes knowledge about climate change accessible to the public, scientists and artists through various formats. It aims to address a lack of accessible climate knowledge and few contact points between science and society. The association runs a publication platform with peer review, where more than 20 research papers have been published, and maintains a global community of over 200 members. Open to climate scientists, artists and anyone interested in climate worldwide, its core project is Dear2050, a networking and mediation platform at the interface of art, science and the public. Dear2050 combines climate science with contemporary art in immersive exhibitions that tour Switzerland, including shows such as Oceans on the rise, Entangled Forests and Plasticity. It also offers science communication services to research groups, including workshops, performances and participatory formats, and runs a mediation programme with the Zurich University of the Arts (ZHdK).
